Sunday 31st May saw the 3rd annual ride out of the Stanford Parkas Scooter Club ride to Maldon. This year kicking off from "Danes" in Old Corringham who kindly supplied free tea and coffee to the riders. The owners of Danes, Rick and Marilyn Jeffs have recently acquired the shop next door to the cafe in Fobbing Road and after a difficult conversion it is much bigger and with improved facilities. Marilyn from the cafe chose and presented a trophy to the best scooter which was Lambretta SX200 owned by John Ayling, a member of the Patriots Scooter Club. Russell Smith of the Parkas who organised the run was pleased to report all 44 scooters made it to Maldon on what was a gloriously sunny day.
